ABOUT THE AUTHOR OF THE STUDY GUIDE
Valaree Williams, MS, RD, CSO, LDN, CNSC, FAND, currently works as a clinical oncology
nutritionist for the American Oncology Network. Over the past ten years, she has worked in
outpatient cancer centers across the United States. Additionally, she serves in multiple roles for
professional organizations including serving as the chair of the ASPEN Oncology Section and as
a Commissioner for the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Valaree completed her Bachelor of
Science degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, her dietetic internship at the
University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Shadyside Hospital, and her Master of
Science degree from Chatham University. She also received a certificate of completion for
participating in an item writer training program sponsored by the Commission on Dietetic
Registration (CDR).
