Registered Dietitians (RDs/RDNs) and Dietary Technicians Registered (DTRs/NDTRs)
Our activities are approved by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
In support of improving patient care, Great Valley Publishing Company (publisher of Wolf Rinke Associates), is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Great Valley Publishing Company’s continuing education activities also award credit for dietetics (CDR CPEU).
RDs and DTRs are to select activity type 102, "Activities Offered by Jointly Accredited Providers," in their CDR Activity Log. Sphere and Competency selection is at the learner’s discretion.
Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)
Many of our activities are accepted by the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE) (Formerly known as National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators [NCBDE]). See the link on the left side of every page to find those activities that are accepted by CBDCE.
The Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE) recognizes and accepts CPE credits that are “applicable to diabetes” and provided by CBDCE Recognized Continuing Education Providers. Because Great Valley Publishing Company (GVP; publisher of Today’s Dietitian Magazine) is a jointly accredited provider, CPE activities offered by GVP are approved for CDCES’, provided that the activities are applicable to diabetes. The CBDCE considers all topics contained in its Certification Examination Content Outline to be applicable to diabetes, and CDCES’ should refer to it for further guidance.
